| Makes about 20 |
| Ingredients: |

1 ½ cups Soland Dates, chopped
1 cup flaked oats
1 cup sugar
1 cup self raising flour
¾ cup coconut
1 tablespoon golden syrup
125g butter
1 egg, beaten |

| Method: |
|
Mix the dates and dry ingredients together in a bowl.
Add melted butter, egg and golden syrup.
Mix well.
Bake in a lined 20cm tin for approximately 20 minutes at 180ºC.
When cold, ice with chocolate icing before cutting into slices.
